PionERS

10 pioneering Experimental Research Stations (PioneERS) have been selected among a broader range of experimental research farms in Europe and New Zealand for their systemic research approach to represent plant, animal and mixed farming production systems. They represent state-of-the-art research stations with system testing of CSF solutions.

The systemic research approach on the 10 PioneERS integrates various components of agricultural operations to work together synergistically at farm scale. This holistic perspective considers the farm as an interconnected system, where changes in one part can affect the whole. The systemic approach will be applied to both mitigation and adaptation strategies on the PioneERS. PioneERS can optimize their operations, ensure food security, enhance resilience, and contribute to climate change mitigation.
