Description
The Granxa Experimental Gayoso Castro is a research and innovation facility of the Deputación de Lugo, in colaboration with the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, dedicated to advancing sustainable livestock, especially dairy, production. It serves as a living laboratory, under commercial conditions, for testing farming and veterinary practices. Through collaboration with researchers, students, and local stakeholders, the Granxa aims to generate knowledge, promote technological innovation in a Galician medium size dairy farm.

The Granxa Experimental Gayoso Castro focuses on applied research and innovation in livestock management and production. Its mission is to promote research on dairy production systems adapted to Galicia’s Atlantic climate.
